Engagements. Babies. Big Moves. Big Deals. Welcome to your 20s!! And 30s!!
You've made your vision board, said your prayers, done the work, and you're ready to receive what you've been asking for. But instead of your breakthrough, you're met with... silence. Delays. Closed doors. No motion - NOTHING.
Maybe it's the dream relationship that hasn't materialized, the career move that's taking longer than expected, or the financial breakthrough that seems just out of reach. You've been faithful, you've been patient, and yet here you are, still waiting.
If you're a woman who loves to plan but finds herself in a season of unexpected delays, this one's for you.
1. give yourself permission to relax
Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is absolutely nothing. Rest isn't lazy. It's actually trusting that the world doesn't need your anxiety to keep turning. Read that again. Nothing, absolutely nothing needs your anxiety or constant supervision.
Remember that your worth isn't tied to how quickly your dreams come true.
2. remember that you’re only seeing part of the story fr
You know that gorgeous planner you love so much? The one where you've mapped out exactly when everything “should” happen? Sometimes we need to lovingly close it and remember that God's timing rarely matches our carefully planned timelines.
You're looking at your life through a keyhole, catching glimpses of what's beyond the door. But God sees the entire house, every room, every hallway, every possibility. He knows which doors need to open first to prepare you for what's behind the others. Trust God.
3. become the girlie who’s ready to receive
Instead of fixating on what's not coming, pour your energy into becoming the version of yourself who's prepared for what is coming.
If you're waiting for your dream relationship, use this time to heal, grow, and become whole on your own (fun fact it’s Jesus who heals! An entire class of angels exists to administer healing!). Develop the money mindset and spending habits of someone who manages wealth well. If you're calling in a new career, start building the skills and connections you'll need.
Think of it like preparing your home for the most important guest of your life. You wouldn't just sit on an empty couch waiting—you'd create a space worthy of what you're calling in. Your life is that space, and you are both the interior designer and the guest of honor.
4. stop watching the clock
Here's something that might change everything: God doesn't operate on your timeline because He exists outside of time entirely.
The most beautiful things in life can't be rushed omg. They unfold when they're ready.
For one week, instead of asking "When will this happen?" ask "What can I learn right now?" This simple shift changes your entire outlook.
⭐️ 5. get really good at visualization
Your imagination isn't just a pretty escape, it's actually a powerful tool for staying motivated and preparing for what's coming.
When you can clearly picture your future, you're not just daydreaming; you're training your mind and aligning your actions with where you want to go.
Try this: spend 10-15 minutes each day fully imagining your ideal life:
How does your perfect day unfold from morning to night?
What does your dream space look like and feel like?
Who are you becoming in this new chapter?
What habits does this future version of you have?
This practice keeps you connected to your goals when real life feels stuck. It's like having a conversation with your future self, reminding you what you're working toward.
6. don’t put your living on hold
You know that pottery class you saved to your Pinterest board "for when life settles down"? That coffee shop you want to visit "someday"? That book you'll write "when you have more time"?
Start now girl, time is moving anyway.
Waiting doesn't mean putting your life on pause. In fact, the woman who lives richly in the present is exactly the kind of woman ready for extraordinary opportunities.
When you're already living a full, creative, joy filled life, you're magnetic to more of the same.
Take that weekend trip. Sign up for the course. Start the creative project. Buy yourself the beautiful flowers. You don't need to wait for your dreams to manifest to start living like the woman you're becoming.
7. look for ways to help others
When you stop focusing only on what you want and start asking how you can help people, every single thing about your life changes.
There's something powerful that happens when you shift from "God, what about me?" to "God, how can I help today?"
Suddenly, you remember that your life is part of a much bigger story than just your own timeline.
When you're busy being helpful, you stop obsessing over your own situation. Plus, the connections that flow from a generous heart often lead to opportunities you never could have planned.
Helping others doesn't drain you if done with the mind of Christ, it fills you up and reminds you that you're already valuable.
you’re not just “waiting” you’re becoming bigger n better mama
Your dreams aren't being delayed; they're being prepared. And so are you.
The woman who receives what she's been asking for is rarely if ever the same woman who first asked for it.
She'll be wiser, stronger, more patient, and more grateful.
This season of waiting is a season of becoming. It's not wasted time. The world isn’t rushing ahead of you. You’re in prep time. You’re in glam and the angels assigned to your transformation are on hair, makeup, and wardrobe.
Your challenge this week: Choose one of these seven things to focus on. Maybe it's starting that creative project you've been postponing, or spending 10 minutes each day visualizing your future.
Trust the process, trust God's timing, and trust that you're exactly where you need to be, becoming exactly who you need to become.
