First, you should be in a rhythm with eating. Constrict your eating to a portion of the day so your blood sugar isn't elevated all throughout the day - up and down, up and down. Spikes in blood sugar cause you to hold onto water, hold onto fat, hold onto everything.
Keep your eating constricted to a certain window of time. Whatever window works for you is fine. My window is 6 PM to bedtime. Some people do 12 PM to 8 PM. Some do 12 to bedtime. Doesn't matter. Pick one.
Obviously, the longer you're fasting, the better off you are. Fasting gives you cheekbones. Cleans up your face. Lowers cortisol. Your mind loves fasting. You love fasting.
The Food Part
When it comes time to eat, eat the food that God called food. Don't eat food that isn't God's food. It'll throw your whole system out of whack because it's not food that was meant to be.

Anything coming in a bag
Anything with a two-year expiration date

Anything from animals - milk, eggs
Genesis 1:29 – Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.”
→ God initially provided a plant-based diet for mankind.Genesis 9:3 – Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.
→ After the flood, God allowed humans to eat meat.
Your Plate
Your plate should be protein-focused. Don't go crazy on the protein. No one said you need 100 grams. The first humans weren't stressing over getting enough protein. Not necessary. Just eat some.

A grain-ish thing if you want (or a seed)
Farro is really good. Quinoa works too. Stay away from rice - it breaks down in your body as sugar. You can have a few spoons, but don't have an entire plate of rice. When you really think about it, it's not even that good.
Dessert Situation
For dessert, have fruits. A little sweet treat. I have ice cream every now and again. Check the ingredients. Good ice cream is usually just milk, cream, egg yolks. Simple ingredients. If you must have packaged food, get simple ingredient foods.
Why It Works
Run this system for however long you want to lean out. It's really hard to overeat God's food because God did not intend for you to overeat. He already designed the system so you don't overeat.

Your body knows what to do with real food. If it didn't exist 200 years ago, think twice about eating it.
