Your Daily Prayer
Dear God, I invite you into my day. I pray that your presence will surround me. I’m your servant, and I give you permission to do whatever you want to do with me, in me, through me, and for me. I take authority and power over the enemy.
And declare that nothing formed against me will prosper this day. I ask for your angels to keep guard and protect myself and my family from every attempt and attack from the enemy. I plead the blood of Jesus over my life. And I reinforce the full and complete armor of god upon me.
Thank you for hearing my prayer.
In Jesus name, Amen.
5 Signs It’s Infatuation, Not Love spring is in the air and so is common sense
Sometimes it is not love, it just feels big.
It feels exciting. New. Intense. You think about them all day. Your heart beats faster. Everything feels more alive. But big feelings are not always love.
Sometimes it is infatuation. And infatuation can make you ignore things you should not ignore. It can make you build a whole future in your head with someone you do not really know. It can make you call chaos “chemistry.”
Here are five signs to pay attention to.
1. It happened very fast.
You barely know them, but your feelings already feel huge. It feels like you got swept up right away.
That may feel romantic, but love usually takes time. Love grows. Infatuation rushes.
2. They seem perfect to you.
You only see what you like. They are attractive. Funny. Smart. Successful. Everything feels lined up.
But the truth is, no one is perfect. And when you are infatuated, you often ignore what doesn’t fit the picture. The red flags. The confusion. The ways they don’t really show up well.
Love sees clearly. Infatuation sees what it wants to see. By the way you can’t see clearly when you’re desperate. Desperation deadens discernment.
3. They are always on your mind.
You think about them all the time. In the car. At work. While talking to your friends. Even when you are supposed to be focused on something else.
That is a sign your feelings may be taking up too much room. Love can bring peace. Infatuation often brings fixation.
4. You do not really know them yet.
You may know the easy things about them. What they do. How they look. How they talk. What makes them seem impressive.
But do you know who they are when they are upset? Disappointed? Angry? Stressed? Do you know how they treat people when things are hard?
You can’t deeply love someone you don’t deeply know.
5. You are trying too hard to be chosen.
You feel like you need to impress them. You want them to pick you. And because of that, you may start changing yourself.
You hide parts of who you are. You try to seem better, prettier, cooler, more interesting. You stop being at rest.
That is not love. That is self-abandonment.
Real love does not make you be something you’re not for your worth. Real love does not ask you to lose yourself. Real love is acceptance.
So be careful what you call love.
Not every strong feeling is love. Not every connection is safe. Not every obsession is a sign from God.
Sometimes the most loving thing you can do is tell yourself the truth.
Q: Where have I ignored the truth because I wanted the feeling?
