God Didn’t Bring You This Far to Leave You Average
mediocrity is a choice and you’re not choosing it anymore, Mexico, and Benedict Bridgeton
Good morning fellow hottie in Christ, here’s what we got going on today. ♡
Your Daily Prayer
Thank you Holy Spirit for keeping me through the night and good morning.
Dear Lord, I thank You that You have not given me a spirit of fear. You gave me love and power and a sound mind instead. I reject fear and refuse to be bound up with it, because Your perfect love in me gives fear no place in my life.
I refuse to be afraid because You have sent Your power to move on my behalf. And You have given me a clear mind so that I can discern the difference.
Lord whenever my eyes stray, and I focus on things outside of your perfect love, please turn my heart towards you, you are my perfect peace and my righteousness.
You are the one I praise, you’re the one I adore, thank you for this day.
In Jesus name I’ve prayed,
Amen.
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7

God Didn’t Bring You This Far to Leave You Average mediocrity is a choice and you’re not choosing it anymore
Average is comfortable. Nobody expects anything. You can’t disappoint anybody including yourself. I get why people stay there, I really do. But comfort and what you want most might just be opposites. Like you might actually have to pick one. And if you’re reading this newsletter you probably already know which one you’re supposed to pick.
1. look at what He’s already brought you through and tell me that was for an average life
You’ve survived things that should have broken you. Breakups that rearranged your understanding of right and left. Losses that made you question everything. Financial stress that kept you up at night. And you’re still here. Still functioning. Still building. God didn’t carry you through all of that just so you could settle into something easy. That survival was training. He was showing you what you’re made of.
2. the doors He keeps closing aren’t punishments, they’re redirections
That job you wanted but didn’t get. That relationship that fell apart right when you thought it was solid. That plan that imploded. I know it felt like loss. But look at where you are now compared to where those things would have taken you. God closes doors you would have walked through happily because He can see the ones ahead of you that you can’t see yet. Every no from Him is a “not this, something bigger better”
3. the gifts He gave you aren’t random
The way you think. The way you make people feel safe enough to tell you things they don’t tell anyone. The way you see solutions other people miss. None of that is accidental. God put those specific abilities in you for a specific reason. Matthew 25 is pretty clear about what happens when you sit on what He gave you. He didn’t hand you those gifts to admire. He handed them to you to use.
4. that restlessness you feel is Him refusing to let you get comfortable
You keep trying to settle and something in you won’t let you. You get the stable job and six months in you’re already thinking about something else. You want to be content but there’s this nagging feeling that there’s more. That’s not ingratitude. That’s God poking you. He’s not letting you rest in average because average was never the assignment. The discomfort is on purposeeeee.
He didn’t bring you this far to watch you settle and play it safe.
Q: What’s the thing He keeps putting on your heart that you keep brushing off?
LOVE YOU xxxx
