The older I get, the more selective I get about literally everything. My friendships. Where I put my energy. Not because I think I’m above certain things, but lowkey yeah because I’m above certain things.

There's something powerful about keeping things close. Think about major artists, designers, creatives, companies, and how they create - most of the work happens behind closed doors. Not because they're being secretive, but because they understand something about creative and spiritual energy.
the energy shift
Have you noticed this? The second you start telling everyone about what you're building, something shifts. The excitement starts to fade. The vision gets a little blurry. It's like the energy that was fueling the project starts to scatter.
When people close to you have opened doors to certain energies in their lives, that becomes the door through which things can enter your life too. It's spiritual, but it's also practical.
the close friends story mindset
You don't have to talk about everything with everybody. Keep things on a need-to-know basis. Your journey of growth is sacred - treat it that way.
Even Jesus had an inner circle. He had 12 disciples but only 3 were really close to him. That wasn't random. That was purposeful. That was divine strategy.

I've been focusing on this lately. At first, it wasn't even intentional - God put me in isolation so He could do it for me. And I've watched something incredible happen:

Finding communities that align with where I'm going
give yourself permission
If you're finding yourself being more selective about what you share and who you share it with - don't fight it. Don't get nervous about it. Don't get anxious.

There are people who are aligned to who God sees you as, and He's bringing you to them.
Until then? It's okay to keep some things close.
Not everything needs to be shared.
Not everyone needs to know what's next.
