The amount of energy I got back from doing this is actually crazy. So my mind had been running, I was overthinking so many things, and as all reasonable girls do I opened Instagram to distract myself because I’d just closed Tiktok lol. Like this is how I was feelin’ like.

But by the grace of God, I ran into a video by a pastor I follow, and I started thanking God for things going the way I wanted them to go. Nothing in front of me had changed. I just stopped giving all that evidence my attention, and I could feeeeeeel myself coming back.

He basically talked about mastering the art of singing to God at night. He brought up Psalm 77:6: “I call to remembrance my song in the night.” Then he said that if you apply for something and you don’t get it, go home and thank God as if you did. And I was like, okay, let me actually try that.

Because when you’re overthinking, you keep saying what you see. You keep repeating the thing that didn’t happen, the thing you don’t have, the thing you’re scared might go wrong. And the more you say it, the bigger it gets in your mind.

So what happens if you start speaking from who God is instead? God is good. God has done great things.

God is love.

Let that be the confession of your mouth.

This is what I mean by being transformed by the renewing of your mind. You’re allowing your mind to be renewed by the reality of who God is, instead of making everything you can see the final word. I did that, and I felt more at peace. I started getting ideas again. My spark came back, literally I kid you not almost instantly my energy started returning to me. I was so blown away.

So try it,

If you feel anxious, say, “Thank You, Lord, that I am so at peace. Thank You that I’m full of energy. I’m so vibrant. I know exactly what to do. Thank you that your wisdom is in control of my stream of conciousness” You may not feel like any of that when you start saying it. Say it anyway and see what happens.

If you’re getting ready for your winter arc,

changing how you eat, or working toward a different body, thank God for the weight you’re believing for as if you’re there already. If you’re finishing a project, thank Him for the lives it has touched while you’re still polishing it.

WHATEVER YOU’RE DOING FOR THE LOVE OF GODDDDDDDDDDDD

even if it’s asking Him wtheckyanteeeeee am I supposed to be doing rn? THANK HIM FOR the answer to it. It’s not even like you’re doing Him a courtesy its how He expects us to be. He told us to be renewed not sample renewal here and there if we feel like it.

I’veeeeee personally been saying, “Thank You, God, that this book has reached millions of girls who needed it.”

(You can get on the pre-order list hereeee btw)

And if you’re letting go of someone or getting over a breakup, you can thank Him for His goodness there too. I’ll put my Heart Healed Summer series here, because I know some of you are in that era

and if you need ANY encouragement whatsofreakingever just know the blessing of a breakup is a deeper relationship with God and then yourself and BECAUSEEEE God's blessings add NO sorrow you tend to get hotter, richer, or fitter, whichever you needed most before it all tbh.

Heart Healed Summer

October is the harvest of many things,

And what I’m describing with speaking from the goodness of God feels like embodying love to me. At no point ever are you sitting there trying to manage exactly how God is going to do everything. You’re receiving who He is, letting His goodness be real to you right now, and allowing that to come out of my mouth.

THAT living water, my fellow skinny legend, is what changes your vibration, your energy, your conciseness, and your life.

Love you,
Zozo x

As we head into fall in the Northern Hemisphere, I just wanted to wish you, honestly and truly, the most blessed, most productive set of months ever.

Q4 doesn’t start until October, but that does not stop me from saying it. From September into October, into November, into December, right before the holidays.

Don’t give up, don’t give up, don’t give up, don’t give up, don’t give up, don’t give up, don’t give up omgggg do not give up. On what God toldddddd you, on who God made you, on what you thought this year would be none of it don’t give up.

You can move slowly but never ever stop you actually can’t be stopped is the gag of the matter because God loves you. If anything fell away up until this point, it wasn’t aligned with God’s perfect will for your life. If you lost something that you thought would always be there, and it doesn’t align with God’s will for your life, you don’t need it. You just need a realllyyy deep conviction of His love for you, I pray He gives you one.

While I’m praying though this is one of my fav ego boost videos

If you didn’t give yourself as much time as you needed this year, or this summer, or you didn’t prioritize yourself, and you’re feeling kind of sad about that, and like you kind of let down by yourself in a way, don’t. And also I’m not even just talking about not prioritizing yourself, could be anything, the milks already spilllleeddddd sister. There are plenty of cows on Earth, okay? You’re good. Don’t even worry about it, don’t even think about it, don’t stress.

Absolutelyyyy do not stress, it gives you wrinkles.

Number two, it makes you heavy, emotionally, physically, all of it. Number three, just don’t stress yourself out too much about anything.

Everything is okay. Okay? You’re the hottest you’ve ever been. You’re the skinniest you’ve ever been. You’re the prettiest you’ve ever been. You are the youngest in heart you’ve EVERRRRR been. You’re up, okay? Like, so up its stuck or whatever they sayyyyyyyyyy.

Love you. And summer is not over until you say it is.

We consume so much media. But as I was reading back my words. This is a true entry from age 25:

I deserve as much time as I need to heal. I will give myself that time. I’m not going to force myself to be better, whatever that means, just because I think I should be somewhere else now. I deserve to take all the time I need to fully heal on my own. And that is what I’m doing. I realize and know now why all of this had to happen as it has. I’m open to love. That includes the love I have for myself. I am open to receiving that love.

I feel like the reason we should journal is not necessarily to introspect alone. We watch social media to inspire us to become something other than what we are and everything we’ve always wanted to be, to entertain us, to educate us. But if this is your reality, and you are simply reflecting back to yourself your internal world, because from your heart flows the issues of life, then shouldn’t the media you consume, or part of the media you consume, be who you were?

But I’m reading this and I’m like, I’ve really grown. I’ve really changed. I see the thread of who I am. I see my essence.

The cool journals I love

1. Moleskine Large Ruled Hardcover Notebook

2. Smythson Panama Notebook

3. Filofax Domino Patent A5 Organizer

4. Smythson Soho Notebook with Slide Closure in Mara

5. Glad & Young Studio Refillable Leather Traveler’s Journal

6. Asperaria A5 Michaella Journal

7. Livways Moonlit Weave Journal

8. Showcase Exclusive Jaguar Trifold Journal

Social Media As God Intended

Here are some steps on how to either start journaling or how to do it more consistently, so that you build up a personal archive.

It’s like your own social media. Because it’s a collection of your thoughts and your ideas and the things that you held dear. And you can even enhance it with, like, scrapbooking.

Social media as God intended. A case for journaling.

1. Get a notebook you’re excited to write in. And while you’re at it, romanticize what pen you use.

2. Pick a consistent time, and a consistent length of time. Whether it’s once a week, or daily, or in the mornings, or what have you. Just make it consistent.

3. Don’t give yourself any requirements. The only requirement is that you show up.

4. Allow at least 6 months between reflections. Because you’ll be astonished by your growth.

I listened to this song called “Stop The Wedding!” by Ashe, and it’s such an empowering song. It liberates you. All of the comments were like, choose yourself, pick your life, and it just fills you with so much power when you say that, right?

Choose yourself. You remember that you have a choice. That you don’t have to keep going down a path just because you’ve already started going down it.

So many times we think that we have one option,

which is to keep going. But you can either go down the path you’ve been going and keep going down it, or you can turn back and go down a different path. The issue with going down a different path is that now you have to turn around, and there’s a lot of intrinsic labor that goes into starting over. It feels like you’ve made no progress.

The price you pay for starting over is the imagined benefit of progress.

You think that because you’re starting over, you’re not going to get where you want to go, and you’ve wasted all this time. But if you’re going down a path that wouldn’t take you where you would ultimately find your own fulfillment, or find your own joy, then was it ever really progress? Were you ever really going anywhere, or were you just delaying the inevitable?

Turning around can actually take you far ahead of where you would have gone if you’d kept going. But first you have to let go of the idea that continuing is the same thing as progressing.

So I’m listening to this song, and everyone is saying choose yourself, and I understand it.

But I introduce to you the concept of choosing yourself being a picture of going down the wrong path.

Because when you don’t have an accurate picture of who you’re choosing when you say choose yourself, you’ll end up choosing who you think you are.

And then once you choose her, she starts making decisions. Because when you choose someone, let’s define what that is, right? You give them preeminence in your life. You give them a front seat. You let them drive your life. If I choose to be healthy today, the healthy version of me is going to drive all of my decisions related to my health. If I choose today to let the lazy version of me drive, she’s going to make my decisions. If I choose today to let this idea of who I am and what brings me fulfillment drive, she’s going to make all of my decisions with whatever goals she has in mind. And I can call that choosing myself, but I still have to ask who I’ve actually chosen.

But if I choose the version of me that is aligned with who God created, and who God had in mind, and what He had in mind, and not only what but how He had it in mind, she’s going to drive. And the way that she drives is that she lets go of the need to control how something will happen, or when it’ll happen. She’s choosing who God created her to be, but she’s also choosing to trust the One who created her. Because how am I going to choose who He had in mind while refusing to choose Him?

Jesus said to His disciples, “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you.” And that’s what I’m talking about. Choose yourself, but only after you’ve chosen who’s chosen you. Because when I’m choosing who God created, I’m not trying to convince Him to want her. I’m choosing someone He already had in mind.

And I wrote something else that was like, not wanting something is as good as having it. When you don’t want control, that is when you get control. Not because you can suddenly make everything happen exactly the way you want it to, but because you can finally choose without needing to control everything that comes after. That’s when you’re finally able to have some sort of power. Because power belongs to God.

So much of what I’m talking about is that we have the power to choose. We can choose who gets preeminence. We can choose who’s driving. We can choose whether we’re going to keep going down a path because we’ve already spent so much time on it, or whether we’re willing to turn around.

In Deuteronomy, Moses puts life and death before the people and tells them to choose life. Jesus speaks about the narrow way that leads to life, and how few find it. So it isn’t just about having a choice. It’s about what you choose. And I’m not saying choosing the right path will never feel difficult. There’s still the labor of turning around. There’s still the surrender of how you thought something was going to happen, or when you thought it was going to happen.

But look how beautiful nature is.

The One who made it made it so that it can keep doing what it’s doing, and you’re not going to trust the wisdom behind a process that you’re actually a part of? You’re going to trust Him with all of that, but not with you?

I think about how much resistance there can be in trying to make a life work around an idea of ourselves that was never accurate to begin with.

How horrible it can feel to keep choosing something outside of who we authentically are, while calling it choosing ourselves.

The only thing I would caution you, the only thing I would advise, the only thing I can tell you as your friend, as your sister, as just another girl who happens to be alive at the same time as you, is to stop the wedding.

Stop marrying the concept of who you think will fulfill you. Stop attaching yourself to a million maybes and attach yourself to absolute certainty.

Not certainty about exactly how or when everything will happen, but certainty in the One you’ve chosen. The One who’s already chosen you. That is how you choose yourself. That is how you pick. Stop the wedding.

Start eating an aggressive amount of carrots, sweet potatoes, and tomatoes

Start adding these to the meals you already enjoy. Think roasted sweet potatoes with dinner, tomatoes in your salad, or carrots with your favorite dip.

The beauty connection comes from carotenoids, the pigments that give these vegetables their red, orange, and yellow colors. Those pigments can accumulate in your skin and subtly influence its color over time. In a small six-week study, increased fruit and vegetable intake was associated with measurable changes in skin coloring. The participants were predominantly white, so the findings don’t establish the same visible effect across everyy skin tone.

You don’t need to build your diet around carrots. Make these foods a regular part of a varied diet, prepared in ways you actually look forward to eating.

Get into drinkable skincare, like konjac jelly

Doesn’t need much explanation to be honest just drink it and your skin will glow trust me. My preferred brand.

the WOW method

The movement is simple: slowly mouth the word “wow.” Bring your lips together for the W, round your mouth into an O, then return to the W. Keep the movement comfortable rather than stretching your mouth as wide as possible, and stop if it causes pain.

This literally removes the tension in your jaw which is amazing.

Lip skin care

If you’re not chemically exfoliating your lips, I don’t know what you’re doing. Make sure you choose a light exfoliant and a balm with SPF 30+!

Turns out drinking water makes a diff.

A daily target of around two liters can give the habit some structure, rather than leaving it at “I should drink more water.” Make it practical. Fill your bottle in the morning, keep it within reach, and drink regularly throughout the day.

Cut out processed sugars

This is the single habit that can single handedly change your life. Literally.

The easiest way to mentally conquer this is to restrict yourself to the foods Adam and Eve had access to and keep it pushing from there.

The subtle art of changing by choice

you’re always a few (sustained) decisions away from a brand new life <3

xoxo,
Zozo

FROM LOVE ITSELF TV YOU GET TO BE EXCITED ABOUT YOUR LIFE AGAIN

You don’t have to be completely healed to start feeling hopeful about your future. If you’ve been in survival mode, let’s talk about looking forward to your life again and recognizing what God has been growing in you.

In this episode of Heart Healed Summer, we’re talking about moving from scarcity to abundance, discovering what you have to offer, and why the life you prayed for can still require work. Having something to do doesn’t mean you’re back where you started.

We finish with a guided visualization to reflect on what you’re building with God and how what He’s placed in you can serve others. Come back to that part whenever you need the reminder. 🤍

What’s something you’re beginning to feel excited about again?

TIMESTAMPS

FRIENDLY REMINDER

YOU HAVE FREE WILL

You can wake up on a perfectly ordinary day and decide you’re going to handle something differently. Take the class. Put the phone down. Say the honest thing. Begin the thing you keep saving videos about, you can kinda just decide.

Sometimes we repeat a habit for so long that we start introducing it as our personality. “I’m just always late.” “I can’t say no.” “I never finish anything.” You don’t technically have to be like that.

Start with something you’re ready to stop.

Before you add seventeen new routines to your life this Fall, ask what’s already taking up the space. The automatic yes when you mean no. The hour of scrolling that leaves you feeling worse. The way you speak to yourself when you make a mistake.

Also while we’re here please don’t make a milestone a verdict on your character

A certain age. A relationship. A job title. A number on a screen. You can care about those things without handing them the authority to tell you whether you’re good enough or worth breathing I don’t know - bring your desires to God. Make your plans. Do the work. Leave room for a timeline you don’t even know exists yet. You’re so loved while you’re learning, while you’re building, and while you’re still waiting for something to happen.

You are allowed to be a beginner.

“I’ve never done this before” is a perfectly reasonable place to begin.

Read a little. Pray honestly. Take the walk. Return to the things that gave you energy. If you miss a day, you can begin again the next day.

One missed morning doesn’t need to become a reason to abandon yourself and who you believed you could be at some point.

SEPTEMBER SWEETHEART IS THAT U?

your monthly love letter

So there I was the other night,

and I was just, you know, yapping to myself, as one does when you debrief the whole day. And I just, like, was talking, talking, talking.

And if you’ve ever spent, like, more than 60 minutes with me, you know that, whenever I get to yapping, sometimes the Holy Spirit takes over. And it happened, and I was like, “Who do I share this with?” And I was like, “Probably my girlies on Substack.”

So this is your, I don’t know, it’s low-key personal now. Anyway, this is your little message, and I hope it helps you. I hope it blesses you, and I hope that September is honestly the month that you’ve been waiting for.

Not because you expect something amazing, wonderful, miraculous to happen, but because you finally have, like, steadiness in who you are and how you feel and what you want, you know?

So love you. I hope you listen to this. If you don’t listen, it’s below to readddddddd <3

0:00 September message

2:39 Prayer for sensitivity

4:40 Father, glorify Yourself

5:36 Substack girlies + sign-off

The ninth month is when you birth the baby!!!!

This is the ninth month of the year. You’ve been pregnant all year. God started injecting things into you in October, November, December of last year. The seed has taken root. Every seed that God started giving you needs to come out now. There are some seeds that are now at maturity after all this time.

It’s timeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee now.

And I’m speaking by the Spirit, from the Spirit: it is time now to birth everything I’ve given you to do. It is time now to publish that book. It is time now to start the company. It is time now to register the organization. It is time now to build the buildings I put in your heart.

This is where I am. Be where I am.

Do not be distracted. This is where I am moving. Go where I am going. Be where I am.

That is what God’s heart is. That is the word of the Lord for this season: be where I am.

Don’t be out there in the hypothetical, “Oh my gosh, when I get married.” God is not there now. He is here now. That will come, but there is a heart posture that comes from being where He is.

In your life, in your future, you will need to know how to be where He is.

There will come a time when being where He is will be life or death for you. It will be life unto your relationships. Be where the Spirit is.

This is the lesson. This is the most important thing. This is all I can ever write to you: be where He is.

This day, you are taking your hands off completely.

Off the way things are supposed to be done. How you think they should be accomplished. You don’t know. Be where I am.

When you align with where I am, you will start aligning with how I am. You will start aligning with who I am. And when you’re aligning with who I am, then and only then, when we are one, will you begin to shine, because now the Father has a path to glorify Himself by His Son. His Son is the only one who is where He is.

This is the word of the Lord for the month of September: Be where I am.

This season spans. It’s going from September into October. This is the month that the baby comes. Be where I am.

For eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man that which the Lord has promised to do.

Be where I am. Be sensitive.

PRAYER FOR SEPTEMBER

My prayer for you is that your sensitivity be turned on. Your spiritual eyes be opened. Your heart be receptive to the leanings of the Spirit, because they will be many. Some will be loud, but they will be subtle.

You’ll wake up in the morning and your posture, your heart, your prayer is, “Good morning, Holy Spirit. What would You have me do?”

Father, glorify Yourself. Glorify Your Son. The people You’ve given me—glorify Yourself.

May the works of our hands glorify You, Father God.

I bless you, and I send you forth into the month of September, into the month of October, into this season.

Push out of you that which I have put in you.

That is the word of the Lord. Be where I am.

VIVAAAASAAAAAA SEPTIEMBREEEEE I LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!! <3

We’re about to get into that time of year when things just start happening, right? People go back to school, start school, start jobs. People come down from summer. The weather cools, and suddenly everybody has a reason to lock in honey, change for the better, and make their year count for something that their January self would be proud of.

I really enjoyed my summer. In my little world of hyper fixations, I ate whatever I wanted to eat, as I should. But as the weather started cooling down this week, I started thinking, okay, what am I going to change in my diet to get myself back to where I was at the beginning of summer health wise?

To some people, that might not seem like a big deal, but for a happy serial optimizer like myself, how I feel in my body affects how I work, exist, live, and move. So there I was, looking for a reason to change.

Life is supposed to flow out of you

There are generally two ways to live: proactively or reactively. Reactive living lets life flow from outside of you into you.

Something happens, and then you give yourself permission to move.

Proactive living lets life flow from inside of you outward.

It’s uninhibited living because you let what’s already in you come out of you.

That’s how life was made, right? God spoke from inside of Himself.

And the thing is, by the time you get to the point of looking for a reason to change, you already have one. The desire to look for a reason means something inside of you has already soft launched its desire. You don’t have to look outside yourself for something that came out of you. What woman births a baby that she didn’t first carry within her?

You don’t need a new season or a new job, though shiny new things can be fun and exciting. You don’t need a reason to decide to change, or to be different, or to exist. You already exist. That part, like all that we’re discussing, was already decided.

What will you do with it now?

love youuu,

zozo

I was planning content the other day and I realized I was stressing myself out for literally no reason. I kind of do a lot, and I’ve been trying to think of myself less as somebody who’s constantly trying to create content and more as a distribution center for everything that’s already inside of me. Because whatever you are is what you’ll be. I don’t have to sit down every morning and manufacture something worth saying. I already have thoughts. I’m already building things. I’m already learning things and noticing things and changing my mind about things. There is already water there. My job is really just to let it flow out of me.

But I was sitting there doing the exact opposite.

I was thinking, is this too much to post? Should I post this today? Should I wait? Does this make sense after the other thing I posted last week on that other account? Are people going to understand why I am talking about this? Am I doing too much? And I could literally feel myself getting more stressed the more I tried to micromanage the flow of water out of me.

And then I realized that I could also just... let it do what water tends to do.

Flow in the direction it’s been released. Post it. Write it. Put it somewhere. Let it float out of me and move on with my life.

And that was when I had the intrusively pleasant thought, you think too much and that is your prison.

Because how many of us are completely immobilized by thinking?

Not because we don’t know what we want to do. A lot of the time you actually do know. But then you start asking yourself a thousand questions about whether you’re allowed to do it.

Is this the right time? Am I supposed to do this? What are people going to think if I do this? Is this smart? Is this stupid? Should I wait? What if I change my mind? What if it doesn’t work? What if people don’t like it?

And now something that could have taken five minutes has been sitting in your head for three months, God forbid three years.

you learned to ask for permission

The thing is, I don’t even think we randomly became like this. Our entire lives have basically been built inside systems of approval and denial. From the time you’re a child, somebody else is deciding whether you did it right. You do the assignment and somebody grades it. You apply somewhere and somebody accepts or denies you. You want the job and somebody decides whether you’re qualified. You make something and there’s some number attached to whether people approved of it. So much of life is somebody else saying yes or no.

And if you spend enough of your life inside of a system like that, eventually you don’t even need the system anymore because you have learned how to recreate it inside yourself.

You become both the person who wants something and the person standing at the desk deciding whether you’re allowed to have it.

That is insaneeeeeeeee when you really think about it.

You can leave the school. Leave the job. Leave whatever system originally taught you to think that way, and still have the entire approval process running in your head. Nobody is actually stopping you anymore, but you’re still filling out imaginary paperwork waiting for imaginary permission from an imaginary person who is apparently in charge of your life.

And I think there comes a point where you have to realize that the system was never necessarily designed to benefit you. It was designed to benefit the creator of the system.

That doesn’t even automatically make the system evil. A school needs a way to decide whether you passed the class. A company needs a way to decide who they hire. Instagram needs some way to organize millions of pieces of content. Fine. Those systems have a reason for existing.

But why would you take a system that was created to help somebody else manage you and then install it in your own head?

Why are you still managing yourself on behalf of a system you are not even in anymore?

I think that is where people get stuck.

You’re looking for approval from something that no longer has any authority over you, and because nobody is physically there to approve or deny you anymore, you just keep thinking.

Thinking feels responsible. Thinking feels like you are doing something. Thinking feels safer than acting because as long as you are still thinking about the thing, you cannot technically be wrong about it yet.

But you also can’t go anywhere.

I would never run my business like this

And the reason this became so obvious to me was because I realized I don’t think this way at all when it comes to Baru.

Baru Gallery is a ceramic gallery for makers. Basically, I find really beautiful ceramics and ceramicists and surface their work to buyers. Sometimes that’s just an individual person who likes beautiful things. Sometimes it could be an interior designer, a wedding planner, an event specialist, a bigger buyer. Whatever. The point is that I am cataloguing beautiful work and putting it somewhere people can actually find it.

And because I understand the psychology behind buying and selling and attention, I understand that nobody can know the thing exists if you don’t show them.

A maker can be the most beautiful ceramic collection in the world. If nobody ever sees it, what exactly are we doing?

You have to speak about it. You have to show it. You have to surface it. You have to distribute it.

And I have never once, not one time, looked at Baru and thought, Hmm. Maybe I have too many ceramicists in this catalogue.

That thought has literally never occurred to me because from a bottom-line perspective it makes no sense.

Why would I find another person making beautiful things and decide I should probably hide them because I already showed people some beautiful things yesterday?

Why would I think there is only room for one style of bowl? Why would I think everybody who comes to the gallery needs to like every single piece? That’s not even how buying works.

You show people what exists and they decide what works for them. And I was sitting there thinking about that and realizing how differently I treat myself.

With Baru, I understand distribution. I understand that my job is not to stand in front of every item trying to predict whether every single person is going to want it before I allow it into the catalogue.

But with myself, suddenly I’m doing market research on every thought before I let it leave my body.

Maybe, just maybe, this is a bit too much. Maybe I talk about too many things. Maybe they liked when I talked about this, so I should only talk about this now. Maybe this doesn’t fit. Maybe I should save this one. Maybe people are going to think, why is she talking about that?

Who cares?

Seriously. Who cares?

become the distribution center

If I am actually a distribution center, then the whole way I think about expression has to change.

A distribution center is not somewhere people come and decide whether the center itself deserves to exist. The point is that there are things moving through it.

And I think I’ve spent too much time thinking of myself like a store. Like I’m standing behind a counter hoping somebody walks in and likes what I put on the shelves. So every decision becomes about the customer. Is this what they want? Is this what they expect? Is this consistent with what they bought last time?

But I’m not a store. I’m the distribution center. That’s a completely different relationship with what’s inside of me.

Now the question is not, Will everybody like this?

The question is, Does this need somewhere to go?

Because if it does, then let it go.

Put it somewhere.

Let the person who needs it find it.

(sometimes) nobody is coming to approve you

And I think this applies to so much more than posting online. There are people who have been thinking about applying for something for so long that the application period has opened and closed twice. People thinking about starting a business. Thinking about moving. Thinking about changing careers. Thinking about making the thing. Thinking about telling somebody how they feel. Thinking about wearing the clothes or hair color and style they actually like. Thinking about becoming the person they already know they want to be.

And the entire time they’re asking questions that sound responsible but are really just different versions of, Who is going to approve this?

Sometimes nobody.

Sometimes nobody is coming.

Sometimes you’re the person who has to decide.

And I think that’s probably one of the scarier realizations of adulthood. You can spend your entire life wanting freedom and then finally get enough of it to realize that freedom means there’s nobody standing there giving you the correct answer anymore.

You have to create the system.

You have to decide what matters.

You have to decide what counts.

You have to decide when enough thinking is enough thinking.

And yes, you might make the wrong decision sometimes. You’re probably going to, a lot. But I would rather make a decision and learn something than sit in the same exact place for three years having increasingly sophisticated thoughts about what I might do and how I might do it.

At some point, thinking becomes procrastination. At some point, you have gathered enough information. At some point, you already know what you think. At some point, the only information left is on the other side of doing it.

the door probably isn’t even locked

That’s what I was really realizing while I was sitting there trying to plan content. I was trying so hard to manage the output that I had accidentally turned expression into another approval system.

And I don’t want to live like that. Why? What’d I do to deserve that? There’s too much inside of me.

There are too many things I care about, too many things I am building, too many thoughts I am still figuring out in real time. I don’t want to spend my life turning all of that into something small enough and neat enough that nobody could possibly misunderstand it.

I would rather distribute it. Somebody will want the vase. Somebody will hate the vase. Somebody isn’t looking for a vase at all.

None of that changes the fact that the vase deserved to make it into the catalogue.

So I think that’s the system now. If there’s something inside of me that wants to move, I am going to try to stop standing in front of the exit interrogating it. I can let it go. I can see what happens. I can make another thing tomorrow.

You think too much, and that is your prison.

The door is probably not even locked.

May grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

Xoxo,

Zozo

WHAT A SCENEEEEEE. What was it all for? What were you all for? Why did you become how you are? Why did you reach for anything? I don’t know it’s worth thinking about. Don’t forget who needed you to start.

I just came back from Seoul and here’s some of the stuff actually worth the money clinic approved

SEOUL IS FOR GIRLS 10,000%

• Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream — the one that gives my skin that reflective quality I love. It has a bunch of different hyaluronic acids, which is really important for resurfacing your skin.

• numbuzin No.4 Full-Nutrient Firming Cream — amazing. It’s the red ginseng. Your skin wakes up with this cream on it just looking SO healthy.

• Centellian24 Madeca Cream Time Reverse — the girl said I need it, so I got it. And now I’m telling you to get it.

• Dr. Reju-All Advanced PDRN Rejuvenating Cream — yes, PDRN. Even topical, it’s good.

• Zeroid Intensive Cream — to be honest, I just picked this up off the shelf and I’m not gonna not use it. I trust my judgment.

• Dr. Althea 147 Barrier Cream — still new to me, but it does that same reflective thing to my skin, and Dr. Althea is holy grail at this point.

• Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream Mist — put this over your makeup, after your skincare, or in the middle of the day to refresh everything. Instant “I just got ready” skin. Cannot wait to use this on a plane when the AC dryness hits.

FROM LOVE ITSELF TV HEART HEALED SUMMER

I was sitting in a service sometime in July and basically whatever me and the Holy Spirit were on about, or rather what He was on about that I was frantically trying to capture resulted in this series.

Heart Healed Summer is for any chica or chico I guess (if you’re here you’re so welc!!) who’s currentlyyyy recovering from a heartbreak (includes but is not isolated tooooo romantic heartbreak, family heartbreak, career heartbreak, confusion heartbreak, what am i doing with my life heartbreak, y can’t i say no to a sweet treat heartbreak - and the like!) of any kind.

I’d watch because at the end of every episode (this series will run until the summer ends on calendar so september lol) is a meditation to help you integrate the healing words which surprise! Heals. <3

Please please pleaseeee share it with anyone you know going through anything big or small because that’s the point.

THE ART OF DOING (AND FINISHING) STUFF

There’s a version of you waiting on the other side of being willing to look a little cringe

• Shift from Hoping to Deciding

  • Operate with total certainty; hoping relies on a weak belief system, whereas making a firm, unequivocal decision creates faith and aligns your mindset with higher standards.

• Reframe Resistance and Procrastination

  • Understand you aren’t inherently “lazy”: Procrastination is a standard human reaction to avoid discomfort. The only way to break the loop is to catch the emotional impulse and execute the task anyway.

• Master Emotional Self-Regulation

  • Remember the 90-second rule: The initial chemical surge of an emotion only lasts about 90 seconds; staying in that emotion longer is usually caused by re-triggering it through your thoughts.

  • Process feelings actively: Process uncomfortable emotions by sitting with them, journaling them onto paper, or using physical movement (such as walking or prayer) to let the energy pass.

• Feed Faith

  • Visualize best-case scenarios: Instead of feeding fear by constantly imagining worst-case outcomes, actively feed your faith through gratitude and positive visualization.

5. Execute with Speed

• Act fast to eliminate overthinking: Success loves speed, making quick decisions and executing immediately eliminates the time window where anxiety and overthinking take root.

• Honor your ideas right away: Taking prompt action on constructive ideas respects your capacity and allows you to learn and adapt much faster

You can kind of just do things, promise.

AUGUST IS THAT..YOU? AGAIN?

your weekly love letter

surely it can’t be the 8th month?

Luckily for us the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord <3

And at first I thought or assumed that that was like a nice little verse to help you let go and let God UNTIL

the Holy Spirit began impressing upon me to look more into what that word order actually means. It’s original language is hebrew like the verses’ original language is hebrew and the word is kun which means to be established, readied, or prepared.

the one I want to focus on is prepared.

You really don’t have to worry about much or think about much, or try to plan your life on your own, there’s no point I promise you it’s a wasted effort. Just chill, empty your head, and align with what God’s been doing because every step you’ve walked up until this point has been a step you’ve entered into. For example, you thought you got into said program, and chose it, but really that was the program God prepared for you from the beginning for reasons you’ll only discover later.

Or, you thought you met your closest friends by happenstance, when really, if you look at how you met, you walked into a friendship God had already prepared by making your personalities distinctly compatible.

my point is your steps are prepared by God. He’s already put it together, packaged it, and your only job this month and forever is to walk into it all through your alignment in Hissss path.

Not your path.

Love you.

Oh by the way,

PRAYER FOR AUGUST

Lord I surrender the month of August to you. Thank yuo for ordering my steps thank you that I will eat the good of the land, thank you that I’ll experience your goodness in the land of the living thank you for all you’ve done in me, I release myself into more of your ministry, Lord take over my mind, my hands, my thinking, and my heart. Have your way in every vessel within me. Thank you for your love, thank you for the people in my life, presently, in the past, and to come. Thank you for preparing unimaginable goodness for us and empower me to do the same for others.

I love you, I plead the blood of Jesus over my words, and in Jesus name I pray,

Amen.

5 Ways to Believe What God Told You Without Forcing It

You can’t believe what God told you through willpower. You have to route your belief in the direction of what He told you.

I spend a lot of time in the presence of God because I have nowhere else to go lol. But no, seriously, it’s a great place to be wouldn’t want to be elsewhere, and I’ve tested many. Sometime in the last few weeks, the reality of what belief is became more solid for me. Or maybe my conviction around it just got stronger.

1. Stop treating belief like an act

I used to think believing was something you did. I thought believing was a verb. But belief is a power, and power is what makes something happen.

2. Route your belief

You can’t “power” a lamp. You route power to the lamp. Belief works the same way.

You can’t force yourself to believe what God told you. You route your belief in the direction of what He said.

3. Put your confidence in who spoke

If my mum tells me she’ll buy me a certain bag for my birthday, I’ll believe her because I know her. She does what she says she’ll do, so I can trust her. My confidence isn’t in getting the bag. My confidence is in who told me she was getting me the bag.

Now, if a stranger on the street promised me the same thing, I wouldn’t believe him because I don’t know him. Let’s say he’s six-something and Nordic-looking because the Norwegians are finally getting their moment. I’m writing this on Saturday evening after they lost so now I’ll have to support, for example, NO ONE for the rest of the World Cup. Anyway.

4. Make the thing itself a non-entity

Notice how the bag is a non-entity in all of this. The bag did not change. The difference is who made the promise.

That is where belief lies. It lies in who or what you believe.

5. Let who you believe strengthen your belief

Your belief does not grow because you will it to grow. It grows because of who you believe.

The more you believe in yourself, the future you’re walking toward and that everything is happening for absolute good, with no harm to anyone but abundant good for all, the stronger those beliefs become.

You believe those things because of who planted the seed of belief in the first place. The same thing can happen with negative beliefs.

Belief is powerful because it creates what you see. I’ll go into that in maybeee an episode of Can It Be. That’s another class we have to have!

One caveat: this will only work with absolute certainty if you are patient and your desire is aligned with God’s heart for you.

Letter from the Editor (Me!!)

not copyedited btw

There comes a point where every girl decides what’s best for her, and it usually comes after rock bottom because there’s nothing like thinking from rock bottom, considering you can’t even do it lol. So you have no choice but to rely on something outside of yourself.

Luckily, if you’re here, you’ve chosen to rely on, oh I don’t know, the most reliable pillar. Or should I say ROCK?

Anyway, you’ve chosen to, or at some point chose to, because thank God we’re not where we used to be. And you’re not where you used to be. Pay attention now because something is going to happen to you very shortly.

We’re at a, how do I articulate this, an intersection of sorts. I’m sure you feel it.

Think of society’s collective rock bottom as COVID. Think of all the careers that were launched and people you didn’t know who you now know, me included, who “surfaced” during COVID.

We’re at another one of those moments. This time, it’s more systematic.

You’re probably not doing the same kind of work or schooling that you were doing six years ago. You’re probably either pivoting, planning to, or itching to. Don’t ignore that.

I’ve always said this and I’ll always say this: if you’re here right now, you’re part of not only my heart <3 love you fr, but part of what God is doing, which is infinitely more important, number one, and an amazing privilege, number two.

I don’t want you to miss it.

That thing you’ve been hesitating to do, to start, to begin, take a step. Just one.

Noah left the ark on one instruction. Abram left his homeland on one instruction. Esther left Shushan on one instruction. If you don’t remember the full context of these stories, ask Chat or Claude or whoever. It was one instruction.

And if you don’t really know what that instruction is, and I promise you there is an instruction otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this, may God remind you of what He told you.

He loves you so much. Never doubt His love for you, no matter what’s happening. Or not happening.

In fact, in a short while, a lot is about to be happening. I believe this with my whole heart. And I know you do too.

Accept it in the same way He’s accepted you.

LOVE YOU AND I’M BACK IN ACTION.

Had to reset and realign (and freaking graduate lmao. Get out of my face. I will be writing NO MORE theses for a HOT MINUTE. So over it okay :D)

Always remember you’re hot and amazing and wonderful and beautiful and graceful and the reason the sun rises in the morning love you sooooooooo much.

The Subtle Art of Starting Over

There’s a version of you waiting on the other side of being willing to look a little cringe

Nobody tells you that part. Everyone wants the glow-up and the rebrand and the “how did she do that?” moment. What they don’t want is the awkward beginning.

But starting over is the single most useful skill a woman can have.

At some point you have to admit that the identity you built to survive isn’t the one that gets you where you’re going.

Maybe you were the quiet one, or the responsible one, or the “be realistic” one. Maybe you made yourself smaller so nobody would question you. Maybe you stayed in the safe job and the safe town because it made sense on paper. But safe and stagnant can look identical from the outside.

Most girlies aren’t afraid of failing because they’ve never actually failed before, they’re just afraid of being witnessed trying Someone saying “who does she think she is.” Old facebook friends watching the videos. Family seeing them attempt something new and possibly flop. Being judged by people who’ve never once risked anything themselves.

That’s the trap.

When you fear judgment more than you fear regret, you start building your whole life around other people’s comfort. You keep the town, you keep the career, you keep the worn-in version of yourself, and you stay loyal to a story you don’t even want to be in anymore.

You’re allowed to change your mind.

You’re allowed to become someone new. The version of you that people remember doesn’t get to define you forever unless you let it.

Think about Sabrina Carpenter. She could have let the public keep her filed under “former Disney kid.” Instead she just kept working, kept putting things out, and slowly made the audience update the file.

This is where opportunity maxing comes in.

Opportunity maxing means treating your life like a hallway full of doors instead of one narrow path with one acceptable outcome. It’s the habit of asking what would actually happen if you gave the thing a real shot. If you posted the video. Applied to the program. Moved. Went back to school. Launched the offer the biz whatever.

The time passes regardless. If you’re 30 and you want the degree, you’ll be 34 in four years either way, and the only real question is whether you’re 34 with the degree or 34 still wishing you’d started. It’s the same with the brand, the business, the career change. By next year you’ll either have a body of work or a list of reasons you never made one.

Outliving your own potential is worse than any comment a stranger could leave.

The life you actually want is going to make you question what you assumed was possible. It’s going to ask you to stop shrinking your desires to fit your current circumstances, and to stop asking permission from people who are invested in keeping you the same.

Starting over doesn’t mean you failed. Sometimes it means you finally got honest.

Once you’re honest, you can move. You can start at zero and be clumsy before you’re good. Post the first video. Write the first paragraph. Take the first class. Make the first pivot. It will feel awkward, and that’s fine, because awkward is usually just the cost of becoming visible in a new way.

So let yourself be new. Let yourself be seen trying. Let yourself outgrow the self you built around fear and approval and getting by.

The life you want isn’t waiting for you to become fearless. It’s waiting for you to stop letting the fear make your decisions.

Start small, start messy, but start. The future version of you isn’t embarrassed that you tried. She’s relieved you finally did.

make your first 10k online this summer

I know a little bit about building brands. I’ve done it since the Tumblr days (shout out to my Blake Griffin and One Direction fanfic readers, you were all loyal). My most recent, Godly Girlfriend, is just proof of the same thing.

Making money IRL is the same as making money online. It’s just a slight little change or tweak in how you communicate what you know, and how it can serve other people.

Godly Girlfriend, for example, sells vibes. The only product I sell is this book.

It’s great, and I think it’s more of a field guide than a book. Either way, it’s an amazing proof of what it means to create a platform, build a brand, then monetize the brand in a meaningful, non-sleazy way. An organic way.

Selling organically is the same. You do it all the time IRL. You go to school or you learn a skill. Someone needs that skill and they hire you for your skill. They don’t hire you because they know you need a job. A lot of people need a job. They hire you because you have something they need and are willing to pay for.

Selling online is the same way.

Building a brand online and selling organically is the same way, except instead of going to school to acquire the valuable asset that is the skill set, you build the asset through attention.

E.g., you build a following, you build a community, and then you offer that community something they need. You become the person who’s hiring, in a sense, because you are offering an opportunity for them, your community, your people, to get what they want from you. It’s a bit meta, but it was really the unlock, because I’ve tried many an online business model, from dropshipping to white labeling, etc. If it’s looked promising, I’ve tried it. But this, Godly Girlfriend, was the click for me.

If you want to try it out, check this out. This is the entire framework.

It doesn’t get more complicated than this. It’s quite simple.

And if you want to do this with me liveeeee, I’m hosting a workshop on June 15th at 8PM EST

where I’ll walk you through how to start doing this, and not only start doing it, but make this summer your 10k summer. :”)

The Ultimate Guide to Your Very Own Self Centered Summer

You need to be doing everything in your power to become as attractive as possible.

Your formal invitation to self-obsessed summer

Return of the Mack. The most beautiful you you’ve ever known.

It’s my favorite time of year. Life starts in May, I always say that, and this May is no different.

Today we’re talking about the law of DETACHMENNTTTT BABY. Detachment. Because everything you want is on the other side of detachment, everything you are is on the other side of detachment, and wherever Jesus is, that’s where you’re ideally meant to be. He is the KING of as the Father has spoken, so it is. So here we are.

I saw this tiktok the other day and the girl said the above

Being emotionally unavailable is fun, I see why men do this.

Completelyyyyy self obsessed.

Now. I have to clear something up before we go any further because I know how this sounds. Self-obsessed summer is not man-centered. It’s not vanity. It’s not “I don’t care about anyone.” The core of it — the actual soil it grows out of — is gratitude.

Gratitude is the center. Gratitude is the center. Gratitude is the center.

Because here’s what happens. You start the year so aggressively. You’re praying, you’re planning, you’re building, you’re applying, you’re posting, you’re showing up. And by the time you get to summer you’re either like oh, I’m doing well or whatever, this is fine; but either way you’re still pouring all of your energy into outcomes and possibilities and what might happen and who might show up. And that’s the part we’re putting down.

Self-obsessed summer is when you stop pouring energy into the around.

You pour it into the you. Because you are already full. God has already done it, is doing it, will do it, and a lot of it is actually already complete. You just haven’t noticed because you’ve been watching the door.

Life is not in the building. Life is in the experiencing of building.

So. Here’s how you’re going to have a self-obsessed summer.

1. The list

Not a bucket list. A self-centered summer list.

Sit down and ask yourself: if this were my only summer on earth — ever — what would I do? Write 100 things. One hundred. The point is not to do every single one verbatim. The point is to open up your mind to the possibilities, because most of us are walking around with a summer plan that has like nine things on it and we wonder why we feel small.

2. A weekly side quest

You need one. Every week. Non-negotiable.

You are a plant. Plants need ground, water, food, love, attention. You need a side quest the same way. Something on the calendar every week that is purely for the experiencing of it. Not productive. Not strategic. Just yours.

3. Intentional plans on three sides

With your friends. With yourself. With Jesus.

For the extroverts the friends part is easy and the yourself part is where you’ll be tested. For the introverts it’s the opposite. But the one that gets skipped no matter who you are is Jesus. And I don’t mean your regular routine; your morning prayer, your scripture in the car. I mean intentionally taking time away. Like you would for a person you’re falling in love with. Because you are.

4. One fun item

A signature. One thing this summer that is so you it becomes a tell.

For me it’s red flip-flops. Red shoes in general. I want to be in obscene flip-flops that are low-key ridiculous, with the best outfits. That’s my thing this summer. Find yours. It can be small. It just has to be specifically, intentionally, on purpose yours.

5. A skill

Carve out the time and learn something girl.

Pottery. Line dancing. The dance class. The thing you keep saying you’ll get to. You can’t let your life be in the hands of other people’s lives. That’s the whole point of this.

6. A new restaurant. A new country’s food. A new order.

Try food from a country you’ve never tried. And when you get there do not order what you usually order. This is a small thing that does a big thing to your brain. You stop being a person who has a usual. You become a person who is finding out.

7. Your version of exposure therapy

If you’re shy about posting; post. At least once a day.

If you’re nervous about talking to new people, talk to someone in line. Often.

Whatever the version of “I’d love to but I can’t” is for you, that’s the assignment.

Self-obsessed summer doesn’t let you sit in a corner and be precious about it. You’re being obsessed with being, which means you have to keep meeting the next version of you, and she’s usually one uncomfortable conversation away.

And remember — it’s hot outside. It’s self-obsessed summer. (Southern hemisphere girlies, my apologies fr)

The idea here, and I could go on and on, is that you deserve to do things from you. To experience life from yourself. That is where you create. That is where you find the how of the life of your dreams.

With God. Through God. From Him.

Because that really is the only way to live from love itself at the end of the day.

prayer to open your eyes

the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, thank you Lord for who you are thank you for ordering my steps, thank you Lord for all you’ve done in the past, in the present, and in my tomorrow that you’re already waiting for me in.

the met was mid 😭

The Met Gala raised a record $42 million on Monday, which is great for the Costume Institute and not great for the carpet. The theme was “Fashion is Art.” The dress code was also “Fashion is Art.” Very circular.

Best dressed, if you’re asking moi: Emma Chamberlain in Mugler, Venus Williams in Swarovski, Paloma Elsesser in Bureau of Imagination, Yseult in Harris Reed.

Best glam: Anok Yai, Hunter Schafer, Jennie, Sabrina Carpenter, Laufey. Honestly, people are saving their real looks for Cannes at this point. The Costume Art exhibit opens May 10 at the Met. Iris Van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses opens at the Brooklyn Museum on May 16 with 140 couture pieces. Battle of the fashion exhibits is the real event.

• say this: “The Met Gala raised $42 million and was mostly boring. Beyonce came back after ten years in a diamond skeleton gown and brought Blue Ivy, who is 14. the Met made a rare exception. also: the real move this month is two fashion exhibits opening back to back. Costume Art at the Met on May 10 and Iris Van Herpen at the Brooklyn Museum on May 16.”

add to cartttt 😍

Dior just dropped the Addict Glass Lipstick. the formula is 90% oils so it gives a glass-like shine without the stickiness people usually hate about gloss.

Spirit shut down. like, fully. May 2, all flights canceled, 17,000 people out of a job. first major US airline to fold in 25 years. the CEO said “we just kind of ran out of runway,” which feels like a line he should not have used. bondholders rejected a Trump administration bailout that could have been up to $500 million.

Then Delta announced it’s cutting complimentary snacks and drinks on flights under 350 miles starting May 19. about 450 daily flights. LA to San Francisco, JFK to Boston, Atlanta to Charlotte. What is going awnnnnnnn.

Iran is reviewing a one-page, 14-point deal to end the war. the US and Israel launched this campaign in February. Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff are leading the talks. the big sticking point is uranium enrichment: Iran proposed a 5-year pause, the US wants 20, and they’re reportedly landing around 12 to 15. Trump says a deal could come within a week. Iran is expected to respond within 48 hours.

A Russian drone hit a kindergarten in Sumy, Ukraine, on Wednesday. killed two people, injured seven. no children were inside. Russia then threatened a future mass strike on Kyiv in response to Ukrainian threats to disrupt Russia’s WWII anniversary commemorations this weekend.

• say this: “Iran and the US are reportedly close to a deal. the sticking point is how long Iran pauses uranium enrichment. they’re negotiating between 5 and 20 years. the dating research no one asked for but you needed 🍚

A new study from Reichman University and the University of Rochester found that sexualized dating profiles actively sabotage your chances at long-term relationships. they showed people identical profiles, same attractiveness, same lighting, same angles. the only difference was revealing clothes and flirtatious poses versus normal ones. the sexualized versions were rated less desirable for anything serious. this held across three separate experiments and even when people watched video intros instead of photos.

• say this: “a study just showed that sexy dating profiles make people see you as less desirable for a real relationship. same person, same photos, same attractiveness. the only difference was the pose and the outfit. held up across three experiments.”

5 Voice Shifts That Make You More Magnetic

People feel your voice before they hear what you’re actually saying

This is lowkey just how listening works. Tone, pace, warmth, the amount of tension behind the sound, all of it lands before the words do. So by the time someone has registered what you said, they’ve already decided how it felt to be near you while you said it.

That’s what I mean by a magnetic voice. Not loud. Not polished. Not radio-ready. Just relaxed and connected to your body, the kind of voice people lean toward instead of bracing against.

Five shifts that help.

1. Listen to the voice other people actually hear.

The voice in your head isn’t the voice anyone else is hearing. You hear yours through bone, vibrations rattling around your skull. Everyone else hears it through air. That gap is why the first time you hear yourself on a recording you flinch.

Stop flinching. Get curious instead. Your recorded voice is the only honest data you have about how you actually sound to other people, your pace, your warmth, where you carry tension, whether you trail off at the end of sentences. Magnetic women aren’t afraid to know how they’re being received. Tbh who cares but when your hobby is living, you get interested in every aspect of it.

2. Let your voice relax before you speak.

A magnetic voice starts relaxed. I don’t mean lazy or mumbly. I mean unclenched.

Your body’s tension shows up in your voice almost immediately, listeners can hear all of it, even if they couldn’t name what they’re hearing. Before anything that matters (a meeting, a video, a voice note, a conversation you care about), take one slow breath. Drop your shoulders. Unclench your jaw. Start from ease, not pressure.

3. Speak from your body, not just your head.

A thin voice gets stuck up high, in the throat, behind the teeth, somewhere in your nose. A fuller voice has more of you behind it. It moves through your chest, your ribs, your belly. That’s resonance.

You don’t need to drop into some fake low register. You just need to let the sound travel through more of you. A long sigh before you speak helps. So does humming for ten seconds. So does noticing where your voice currently lives and letting it sit a little lower.

4. Make people feel safe to listen.

The voices I find most magnetic aren’t selling me anything. They’re not rushing me, correcting me, or working too hard to impress me. They’re just present. They give me room.

This matters everywhere — content, leadership, teaching, dating, friendship, business, the way you say goodnight to someone. People forget your exact words almost immediately. They remember how it felt to be in your presence. Your voice is doing more of the communication work than you think.

5. Sigh before you speak.

The simplest exercise, and the one I keep coming back to. Sigh first.

Try it before recording. Try it before answering a call. Try it before sending a voice note. Try it the second you notice your shoulders climbing toward your ears. A sigh resets your nervous system, drops your voice into your body, and gives you a softer place to start from.

Your voice doesn’t need to become someone else’s. It just needs more access to you. That’s the whole shift, not performing harder, just showing up more relaxed and more present in the voice you already have.

Let’s Play Would You Rather

Would you rather …have your life narrated by your best friend or your guardian angel?

Would you rather …know what song feels like your soul or what color people associate with your energy?

Would you rather …get one text from your future husband or one voice note from your future self?

Would you rather …know which version of you changed everything or which version of you almost gave up but didn’t?

Thank you Lord that you are here with me now

I know that what I desire most is you desiring it through me

Thank you Lord for the blessing at the wedding of Cana

Thank You for sending your son

and thank you that you’ve already gone into tomorrow ahead of me before me and for me

You are good and Your mercy endures forever

Amen

I think we all know what it means to be delulu at this point, so I won’t 23 inch waist time there, but, what about being two delulus ahead? Doubt only exists in a place where there is uncertainty. Absolute faith is certainty. You know the sun will rise tomorrow, you have faith in that. You know your mind is going to keep digesting these words, and you know you’ll understand their meaning in the context of your life. You know you’ll eat something soon. These are all things you’re certain of.

Now think of that one thing that would just make you never have to worry about anything again or think about anything again, your number one on the list of God pls omg be so fr with me.

Got it?

Do you have absolute certainty in ti? Okay what about go with me for a second into your bag of delulus. pick one. Cute right? Now, go further.

Feel your mind stretching a little bit?

That’s the whole point.

Go further.

And then go further again. If you’re doing it right eventually you’ll hit what feels like a mental wall and that my friend becomes the Holy Spirit please help my unbelief bc huh this can’t belong to me there’s no way prayer/cry for help.

Always be two delulus ahead. It’ll change your life.

☆ MY FOREVER HOLY GRAILS

☆ PRAYER

YOU'LL ALWAYS RECEIVE YOUR BELIEF

MY FOREVER HOLY GRAILS

These are the products I will defend with my life. Not spons just things I literally cannot live without. If you’ve been following me for any amount of time, you’ve probably seen most of these pop up. So here’s the official rundown of why each one has a permanent spot in my routine.

Essence Lash Princess Mascara

I’ve been using this mascara since college. My best friend put me on and I haven’t stopped since. It makes my lashes long, not cakey, and it doesn’t irritate my eyez.

EADEM Le Chouchou Lip Softening Balm

Okay honestly, before this I was a Summer Fridays girly. An Ole Henriksen girl through and through. But EADEM’s lip balm?? PerFUH. Perfect perfect perfect.

The 7 Virtues Coconut Sun Eau de Parfum

This is Hawaii in a bottle. I love to smell like I just got back from being in the water and in the sun and in the sand. And the thing is, it’s not that sunscreeny fake coconut smell. It’s more like if Jo Malone did a coconut but made it less screechy. Been obsessed.

Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder

This balm gives that look where you catch yourself in the mirror like hours later and go “oh my gosh, I look like a filter.” No brainer.

OUAI St. Barts Hair & Body Mist

Again with the smelling like an island I know, I know. But this one is so good. It’s great for my hair, great for my body, and it just makes me feel cozy and warm and like I have my life together.

Cuccio Naturale Milk & Honey Butter

This one is newish to me. I had it in a massage and it was amazing. Like, genuinely amazing. It smells so soft and gentle — a very nice, warm honey. If you remember Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar, it’s basically that vibe, but less sugary and way more subtle, soft, and mature. I have no idea why this is nowhere to be found online but if you can get your hands on it, do it.

L’Oréal Lumi Glotion Natural Glow Bronzing Enhancer

I put this under all of my makeup. I blend it with my liquid blush. Basically, when I want to look like a disco ball or like I’ve been sitting in the sun all day, this is what I reach for. It gives you that lit-from-within glow without being glittery or doing too much.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum

This is just standard. Needed-as-much-as-I-need-water standard. Can’t survive without it, you know what I mean?

THE NEW CREATION DECLARATION
2 Corinthians 5:17

If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here!

Thank You, Jesus, that I am a new creation in Christ. Thank You that the old is gone, the new is here. I put on my new identity in Christ in the name of Jesus.

I make my body, my flesh, and my soul subject to who I am in the Spirit. I make it subject to who I am in my new nature.

The light of life lives inside of me.
The light of life lives inside of my atoms at a molecular level.
The Holy Spirit radiates out of me.

In Jesus’ name, I am a new creation.

⋆

I put off the old identity.
I put off the old self in which I’ve been programmed to believe that I am all my life.
I put it off and I put on the new self.
I put on the righteousness of God.

⋆

All memories, all traumas, and all sin cycles stop when I declare that I’m a new creation.
All sin cycles stop when I put on my new identity.
All sin cycles stop when I put on the robes of righteousness.
All sin cycles stop when I put on the helmet of salvation and the crown in which I rule from because I am seated in heavenly places.

I walk in power and authority in the name of Jesus.
I walk as a new creature.
It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.
In the Spirit, I am seated in heavenly places right now.

⋆

I am a co-heir in Christ. Everything in the Father’s house I have access to.

I have access to healing, and I declare healing over my body.
I have access to provision and finances, so I declare finances and provision to do the will of the Father.
I have access to health and wholeness in my body, so I declare health and wholeness over my entire being.
I have access to divine knowledge, so I declare divine knowledge over my mind — knowledge over people’s situations, supernatural insight as to strongholds that are trying to come over my life and trying to create confusion.

I have that divine insight, intel, and discernment that comes from Holy Spirit because I am seated in heavenly places.

⋆

I am a royal priesthood.
That means I have authority in the name of Jesus. I’m not just saved, but I have authoritative divine power in the realm of the Spirit to make things on earth as it is in heaven.

Even though my default programming has been to rely on my emotions, my circumstances, how I feel, my lack, my health, anxiety, demonic attacks, people leaving, and opportunities not working, I no longer identify with those things because I am a royal priesthood, a co-heir with Christ, and a new creation.

⋆

Therefore, my life on earth looks drastically different than it used to look.

In the name of Jesus, I put off my mind and I put on the mind of Christ.
We have the mind of Christ.

I declare right now that I no longer struggle to hear from God, because the mind of Christ does not struggle to hear from the Lord.

I do not struggle with prophetic knowledge, because the mind of Christ does not struggle with prophetic knowledge.

⋆

So I put off my carnal mind, I separate it from my body, and I put on the righteous, glorious, pure mind of Christ.

When the Father looks at me, He sees purity.
When the Father looks at me, He sees His Son.

So right now, in the name of Jesus, I put on the mind of Christ.

I declare I can hear Holy Spirit.
I can hear the voice of the Father.
I can hear the voice of Jesus.
I can understand their personalities.
I can understand their unique identities.

⋆

Because it’s no longer my thoughts that are popping up, it is God’s thoughts and God’s voice that is speaking into my mind, not my own thoughts.

I am a new creation, and I declare that I will walk in that power and authority today.

We take dominion and power over every principality suffocating our minds and our hearts, tormenting us with memory of past sin, past trauma, and past cycles.

We take hold of that in the Spirit and submit it to the feet of Jesus and declare freedom and deliverance in Jesus’ name.

⋆

I tear down any carnal intellectual arguments about who we are in Christ in the Spirit.
I tear down the structures of intellectualism by walking in power and authority.

And though life is uncertain, I walk in a certainty that Jesus died and rose again, and His blood is completely washing over my being every minute of today.

⋆

I submit my emotions, how I feel, the cloud of doubt, and the fog of fear at the feet of Jesus, and I choose right now to no longer live from that paradigm.

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I command my body and my soul to awaken to my new nature and to walk in that power and authority for the rest of the day.

⋆

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

☆ HOW TO BREAK THE HABIT OF WAITING

☆ PRAYER

DO THIS ONE THING IF YOU HAVE ANXIETY

HOW TO BREAK THE HABIT OF WAITING

because your life is happening right now

There’s a kind of waiting that looks responsible from the outside but is actually just fear with better PR.

You keep saying you’re waiting for the right time. A sign from God. And sometimes, yes — waiting is wisdom. But sometimes waiting is just the place you hide so you never have to find out what would happen if you actually did something.

That’s the part nobody wants to admit. It feels safer to keep the dream clean in your head than to let it get messy in real life. But your life isn’t happening later. It’s not going to start once you’re healed, funded, and ready. It’s happening while you’re still figuring it out.

Send the message. Make the page. Apply.

God can steer movement. He can’t steer someone who refuses to move.

Love you.

☆ 5 Ways to Let Go of Limiting Beliefs and Come Back to Yourself

☆ LET’S PRAY TWIN

5 Ways to Let Go of Limiting Beliefs and Come Back to Yourself

now is as good a time as any

Let’s talk about the little stories that quietly run our lives. The ones that say, “I’m not ready yet,” “I don’t have enough,” “People like me don’t get to do things like that,” or “I’ll start when everything is perfect.” A limiting belief isn’t always loud. Sometimes it feels like thoughts you’d actually think. Sometimes it feels like being “realistic.” Sometimes it feels like protecting yourself from disappointment. But some of the thoughts you keep calling wisdom are really just fear with better branding.

1. Stop waiting for perfect conditions

It’s so easy to believe you need more before you can start. The belief that you “don’t have enough” becomes the reason you never use what you do have.

You may not have the whole plan yet, but you might have the next step. You may not have all the money yet, but you might have an idea. You may not feel confident yet, but you can still fake it till you do. Start where you are. Use what you have. Let the next door open after you move.

2. Pay attention to the meaning you give things

The text/event/moment/idea is one thing. The story you attach to it is another. Someone doesn’t respond, and you decide you’re being rejected. Something takes longer than expected, and you decide it’s not meant for you. You make a mistake, and you decide you’re not capable. But what if it meant something else? What if the delay is protection? What if the mistake is training? What if the rejection is redirection? What if this is not proof that you’re behind, but evidence that you’re growing? You don’t have to lie to yourself. You just have to stop choosing the interpretation that makes you feel powerless.

3. Get out of your head and back into your body

Some beliefs can’t be solved by overthinking them. Sometimes you need to take a walk, stretch, breathe, clean your room, put on the playlist, drink water, step outside, or move your actual body so your mind remembers you aren’t the feeling of being trapped. A lot of fear gets louder when you sit still with it for too long. This isn’t about pretending everything is fine. It’s about reminding your nervous system that you’re safe enough to take the next step.

4. Replace pressure with gratitude

Expectations can quietly turn into pressure. You expected life to look different by now. You expected people to show up differently. You expected yourself to be further along. And when reality doesn’t match the picture in your head, it can feel like you’re a failure. But appreciation brings you back to what is still good, still growing, still available, and still possible. A flower that’s still growing, isn’t any less of a flower than one that’s blooming. Gratitude doesn’t mean you stop wanting more. It means you stop insulting the season you’re in while you’re on your way to the next one.

5. Believe your life is working for your growth

One of the most freeing beliefs you can choose is this: maybe this is not happening to ruinnnnn moi. Maybe this is developing me. The hard thing, the slow thing, the uncomfortable thing, the thing you wish you could skip, it may be teaching you patience, discernment, courage, self-respect, faith, and focus, but most importantly faith. You don’t have to romanticize pain to learn from it. But you also don’t have to let pain convince you that your life is over. Some seasons are not punishments. They are preparation. And the woman you are becoming is going to need the strength, wisdom, and softness this season is building in you because she’s built on it.

⋆

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

may the luck of all great mondays be with you, <3

Just see what happens, because something will DEFINITELY happen.

I hope you enjoy the last weekend of April, the most beautiful month, only second to every single one that comes after.

☆ START A LIST CALLED THINGS THAT MAKE ME ATTRACTIVE

☆ PRAYER

Everything comes down to self-concept.

What do you believe about yourself? What do you believe about your life? And more importantly, what do you believe about yourself in relation to what God said?

In this video, we’re talking about biblical abundance, mindset, faith, imagination, and how to stop living from old programming. If God gave you a word, your job is not to panic, shrink, or stay double-minded. Your job is to believe, meditate on what He said, and become the kind of person who can actually carry the life He showed you.

WATCH HERE

Start a List Called “Things That Make Me Attractive”

You need to be doing everything in your power to become as attractive as possible.

And no, I don’t just mean physically. I mean your whole life. Your presence. Your energy. Your habits. Your confidence. The way you walk into a room. The way you speak to people. The way you carry what God gave you instead of apologizing for it.

But let’s start somewhere simple.

Start a list in your notes app and title it: Things That Make Me Attractive.

First, write down the physical things you actually like about yourself. Your eyes. Your smile. Your hair. Your skin. Your shape. Your hands. Your legs. Your voice. Anything.

Add the things people compliment you on often too, because sometimes people see what we keep ignoring.

Maybe people always tell you that you have a beautiful smile. Maybe they love your hair. Maybe your outfits always get compliments. Maybe your laugh makes people feel comfortable. Write it down.

Then move to the deeper things.

What makes your personality attractive?

Are you thoughtful? Funny? Warm? Interesting? Disciplined? Soft? Wise? Creative? Loyal? Honest? Do people feel safe around you? Do people come to you for advice? Do you make things feel lighter? Do you have a way of making people feel seen?

Write that down too.

Because becoming attractive is not about becoming someone else. It is about finally paying attention to what is already working.

Then, once you know what makes you attractive, start accentuating it.

If people compliment your hair, take care of your hair. Learn what styles make you feel beautiful. If people compliment your smile, smile more. Find your lip combo. Take care of your teeth. If people compliment your legs, wear the outfit that lets them shine. If people compliment your warmth, stop trying to act cold and unavailable. Let that softness be part of your beauty.

And yes, some people will call this shallow.

Let them.

There’s nothing shallow about stewarding what God gave you.

When you look good, you feel different. When you feel different, you move different. When you move different, people respond to you differently. And when people respond to you with more warmth, you often have more warmth to give back.

The outside isn’t everything, but it is still part of your life. Your body is part of your life. Your style is part of your life. Your presence is part of your life.

So start thereeee.

The 5 Stages of Detachment

How to Know What Phase You’re In Because It Lowkey Determines How Close You Are to Love Itself <3

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”” Psalm 46:10

1. Acknowledgment. You stop pretending you didn’t want it. You admit how much you cared, but it doesn’t hold you anymore.

2. Introspection. You ask why you were so attached. Not what you lost, but who you thought you’d be if you had it.

3. Processing. You start seeing what the whole thing was actually showing you about yourself, instead of what was happening to you.

4. Creative action. You move again. Not to prove anything. Because you finally have the room to, you’re excited again, you start dreaming again, visualizing again, hoping again.

5. Freedom. It crosses your mind and doesn’t take anything from you. You don’t announce it. You just keep going. You bless them it, or whatever, wish them well, and keep it pushing.

Detachment isn’t a decision, it’s a process. You don’t move through it in a straight line and it doesn’t announce itself. You’ll just notice, later, that you stopped checking. And that you’re doing better. I pray this over all of you there’s literally nothing like it, the freedom is next to none. No Natalie. <3
