It’s my favorite time of year. Life starts in May, I always say that, and this May is no different.

Today we’re talking about the law of DETACHMENNTTTT BABY. Detachment. Because everything you want is on the other side of detachment, everything you are is on the other side of detachment, and wherever Jesus is, that’s where you’re ideally meant to be. He is the KING of as the Father has spoken, so it is. So here we are.

Being emotionally unavailable is fun, I see why men do this.

Completelyyyyy self obsessed.

Now. I have to clear something up before we go any further because I know how this sounds. Self-obsessed summer is not man-centered. It’s not vanity. It’s not “I don’t care about anyone.” The core of it — the actual soil it grows out of — is gratitude.

Gratitude is the center. Gratitude is the center. Gratitude is the center.

Because here’s what happens. You start the year so aggressively. You’re praying, you’re planning, you’re building, you’re applying, you’re posting, you’re showing up. And by the time you get to summer you’re either like oh, I’m doing well or whatever, this is fine; but either way you’re still pouring all of your energy into outcomes and possibilities and what might happen and who might show up. And that’s the part we’re putting down.

Self-obsessed summer is when you stop pouring energy into the around.

You pour it into the you. Because you are already full. God has already done it, is doing it, will do it, and a lot of it is actually already complete. You just haven’t noticed because you’ve been watching the door.

Life is not in the building. Life is in the experiencing of building.

So. Here’s how you’re going to have a self-obsessed summer.

1. The list

Not a bucket list. A self-centered summer list.

Sit down and ask yourself: if this were my only summer on earth — ever — what would I do? Write 100 things. One hundred. The point is not to do every single one verbatim. The point is to open up your mind to the possibilities, because most of us are walking around with a summer plan that has like nine things on it and we wonder why we feel small.

2. A weekly side quest

You need one. Every week. Non-negotiable.

You are a plant. Plants need ground, water, food, love, attention. You need a side quest the same way. Something on the calendar every week that is purely for the experiencing of it. Not productive. Not strategic. Just yours.

3. Intentional plans on three sides

With your friends. With yourself. With Jesus.

For the extroverts the friends part is easy and the yourself part is where you’ll be tested. For the introverts it’s the opposite. But the one that gets skipped no matter who you are is Jesus. And I don’t mean your regular routine; your morning prayer, your scripture in the car. I mean intentionally taking time away. Like you would for a person you’re falling in love with. Because you are.

4. One fun item

A signature. One thing this summer that is so you it becomes a tell.

For me it’s red flip-flops. Red shoes in general. I want to be in obscene flip-flops that are low-key ridiculous, with the best outfits. That’s my thing this summer. Find yours. It can be small. It just has to be specifically, intentionally, on purpose yours.

5. A skill

Carve out the time and learn something girl.

Pottery. Line dancing. The dance class. The thing you keep saying you’ll get to. You can’t let your life be in the hands of other people’s lives. That’s the whole point of this.

6. A new restaurant. A new country’s food. A new order.

Try food from a country you’ve never tried. And when you get there do not order what you usually order. This is a small thing that does a big thing to your brain. You stop being a person who has a usual. You become a person who is finding out.

7. Your version of exposure therapy

If you’re shy about posting; post. At least once a day.

If you’re nervous about talking to new people, talk to someone in line. Often.

Whatever the version of “I’d love to but I can’t” is for you, that’s the assignment.

Self-obsessed summer doesn’t let you sit in a corner and be precious about it. You’re being obsessed with being, which means you have to keep meeting the next version of you, and she’s usually one uncomfortable conversation away.

And remember — it’s hot outside. It’s self-obsessed summer. (Southern hemisphere girlies, my apologies fr)

The idea here, and I could go on and on, is that you deserve to do things from you. To experience life from yourself. That is where you create. That is where you find the how of the life of your dreams.

With God. Through God. From Him.

Because that really is the only way to live from love itself at the end of the day.

5 Voice Shifts That Make You More Magnetic

People feel your voice before they hear what you’re actually saying

This is lowkey just how listening works. Tone, pace, warmth, the amount of tension behind the sound, all of it lands before the words do. So by the time someone has registered what you said, they’ve already decided how it felt to be near you while you said it.

That’s what I mean by a magnetic voice. Not loud. Not polished. Not radio-ready. Just relaxed and connected to your body, the kind of voice people lean toward instead of bracing against.

Five shifts that help.

1. Listen to the voice other people actually hear.

The voice in your head isn’t the voice anyone else is hearing. You hear yours through bone, vibrations rattling around your skull. Everyone else hears it through air. That gap is why the first time you hear yourself on a recording you flinch.

Stop flinching. Get curious instead. Your recorded voice is the only honest data you have about how you actually sound to other people, your pace, your warmth, where you carry tension, whether you trail off at the end of sentences. Magnetic women aren’t afraid to know how they’re being received. Tbh who cares but when your hobby is living, you get interested in every aspect of it.

2. Let your voice relax before you speak.

A magnetic voice starts relaxed. I don’t mean lazy or mumbly. I mean unclenched.

Your body’s tension shows up in your voice almost immediately, listeners can hear all of it, even if they couldn’t name what they’re hearing. Before anything that matters (a meeting, a video, a voice note, a conversation you care about), take one slow breath. Drop your shoulders. Unclench your jaw. Start from ease, not pressure.

3. Speak from your body, not just your head.

A thin voice gets stuck up high, in the throat, behind the teeth, somewhere in your nose. A fuller voice has more of you behind it. It moves through your chest, your ribs, your belly. That’s resonance.

You don’t need to drop into some fake low register. You just need to let the sound travel through more of you. A long sigh before you speak helps. So does humming for ten seconds. So does noticing where your voice currently lives and letting it sit a little lower.

4. Make people feel safe to listen.

The voices I find most magnetic aren’t selling me anything. They’re not rushing me, correcting me, or working too hard to impress me. They’re just present. They give me room.

This matters everywhere — content, leadership, teaching, dating, friendship, business, the way you say goodnight to someone. People forget your exact words almost immediately. They remember how it felt to be in your presence. Your voice is doing more of the communication work than you think.

5. Sigh before you speak.

The simplest exercise, and the one I keep coming back to. Sigh first.

Try it before recording. Try it before answering a call. Try it before sending a voice note. Try it the second you notice your shoulders climbing toward your ears. A sigh resets your nervous system, drops your voice into your body, and gives you a softer place to start from.

Your voice doesn’t need to become someone else’s. It just needs more access to you. That’s the whole shift, not performing harder, just showing up more relaxed and more present in the voice you already have.

5 Ways to Let Go of Limiting Beliefs and Come Back to Yourself

now is as good a time as any

Let’s talk about the little stories that quietly run our lives. The ones that say, “I’m not ready yet,” “I don’t have enough,” “People like me don’t get to do things like that,” or “I’ll start when everything is perfect.” A limiting belief isn’t always loud. Sometimes it feels like thoughts you’d actually think. Sometimes it feels like being “realistic.” Sometimes it feels like protecting yourself from disappointment. But some of the thoughts you keep calling wisdom are really just fear with better branding.

1. Stop waiting for perfect conditions

It’s so easy to believe you need more before you can start. The belief that you “don’t have enough” becomes the reason you never use what you do have.

You may not have the whole plan yet, but you might have the next step. You may not have all the money yet, but you might have an idea. You may not feel confident yet, but you can still fake it till you do. Start where you are. Use what you have. Let the next door open after you move.

2. Pay attention to the meaning you give things

The text/event/moment/idea is one thing. The story you attach to it is another. Someone doesn’t respond, and you decide you’re being rejected. Something takes longer than expected, and you decide it’s not meant for you. You make a mistake, and you decide you’re not capable. But what if it meant something else? What if the delay is protection? What if the mistake is training? What if the rejection is redirection? What if this is not proof that you’re behind, but evidence that you’re growing? You don’t have to lie to yourself. You just have to stop choosing the interpretation that makes you feel powerless.

3. Get out of your head and back into your body

Some beliefs can’t be solved by overthinking them. Sometimes you need to take a walk, stretch, breathe, clean your room, put on the playlist, drink water, step outside, or move your actual body so your mind remembers you aren’t the feeling of being trapped. A lot of fear gets louder when you sit still with it for too long. This isn’t about pretending everything is fine. It’s about reminding your nervous system that you’re safe enough to take the next step.

4. Replace pressure with gratitude

Expectations can quietly turn into pressure. You expected life to look different by now. You expected people to show up differently. You expected yourself to be further along. And when reality doesn’t match the picture in your head, it can feel like you’re a failure. But appreciation brings you back to what is still good, still growing, still available, and still possible. A flower that’s still growing, isn’t any less of a flower than one that’s blooming. Gratitude doesn’t mean you stop wanting more. It means you stop insulting the season you’re in while you’re on your way to the next one.

5. Believe your life is working for your growth

One of the most freeing beliefs you can choose is this: maybe this is not happening to ruinnnnn moi. Maybe this is developing me. The hard thing, the slow thing, the uncomfortable thing, the thing you wish you could skip, it may be teaching you patience, discernment, courage, self-respect, faith, and focus, but most importantly faith. You don’t have to romanticize pain to learn from it. But you also don’t have to let pain convince you that your life is over. Some seasons are not punishments. They are preparation. And the woman you are becoming is going to need the strength, wisdom, and softness this season is building in you because she’s built on it.

Start a List Called “Things That Make Me Attractive”

You need to be doing everything in your power to become as attractive as possible.

And no, I don’t just mean physically. I mean your whole life. Your presence. Your energy. Your habits. Your confidence. The way you walk into a room. The way you speak to people. The way you carry what God gave you instead of apologizing for it.

But let’s start somewhere simple.

Start a list in your notes app and title it: Things That Make Me Attractive.

First, write down the physical things you actually like about yourself. Your eyes. Your smile. Your hair. Your skin. Your shape. Your hands. Your legs. Your voice. Anything.

Add the things people compliment you on often too, because sometimes people see what we keep ignoring.

Maybe people always tell you that you have a beautiful smile. Maybe they love your hair. Maybe your outfits always get compliments. Maybe your laugh makes people feel comfortable. Write it down.

Then move to the deeper things.

What makes your personality attractive?

Are you thoughtful? Funny? Warm? Interesting? Disciplined? Soft? Wise? Creative? Loyal? Honest? Do people feel safe around you? Do people come to you for advice? Do you make things feel lighter? Do you have a way of making people feel seen?

Write that down too.

Because becoming attractive is not about becoming someone else. It is about finally paying attention to what is already working.

Then, once you know what makes you attractive, start accentuating it.

If people compliment your hair, take care of your hair. Learn what styles make you feel beautiful. If people compliment your smile, smile more. Find your lip combo. Take care of your teeth. If people compliment your legs, wear the outfit that lets them shine. If people compliment your warmth, stop trying to act cold and unavailable. Let that softness be part of your beauty.

And yes, some people will call this shallow.

Let them.

There’s nothing shallow about stewarding what God gave you.

When you look good, you feel different. When you feel different, you move different. When you move different, people respond to you differently. And when people respond to you with more warmth, you often have more warmth to give back.

The outside isn’t everything, but it is still part of your life. Your body is part of your life. Your style is part of your life. Your presence is part of your life.

So start thereeee.

How to Know What Phase You’re In Because It Lowkey Determines How Close You Are to Love Itself <3

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”” Psalm 46:10

1. Acknowledgment. You stop pretending you didn’t want it. You admit how much you cared, but it doesn’t hold you anymore.

2. Introspection. You ask why you were so attached. Not what you lost, but who you thought you’d be if you had it.

3. Processing. You start seeing what the whole thing was actually showing you about yourself, instead of what was happening to you.

4. Creative action. You move again. Not to prove anything. Because you finally have the room to, you’re excited again, you start dreaming again, visualizing again, hoping again.

5. Freedom. It crosses your mind and doesn’t take anything from you. You don’t announce it. You just keep going. You bless them it, or whatever, wish them well, and keep it pushing.

Detachment isn’t a decision, it’s a process. You don’t move through it in a straight line and it doesn’t announce itself. You’ll just notice, later, that you stopped checking. And that you’re doing better. I pray this over all of you there’s literally nothing like it, the freedom is next to none. No Natalie. <3

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true... honest... just... pure... lovely... think on these things.” Philippians 4:8

When something frustrating happens, most of us do the same thing: we react.

We match the energy of whatever just went wrong. And that keeps us stuck, because now we’re fulllly tuned into the problem.

There’s a phrase that changed this for me: “I’m observing this, but I would love that.” It sounds too simple. But it works because it gets you to stop fighting what’s in front of you.

Here’s how to actually use it, using something close to me, making digital product SALESSSS.

Let’s take Godly Girlfriend one of my theme pages for example:

Now onto the three words

First, just notice what’s happening. Don’t spiral. Don’t panic-post. Just observe. “I’m observing that only one product sold today.” for example. You’re not cosigning it. You’re not calling it your life. You’re just refusing to let it ruin your mood.

Second, pivot. “I’m observing one sale, but I would loveeee ten.” Say it like it’s already true, because that’s the whole point. Let the desire feel realer than the evidence. Substitute sales for whatever you’d love to experience.

Third stay there. What would ten sales actually feel like in your body? Probably relaxed. Probably light. Maybe you’d be laughing at how stressed you were an hour ago. Sit in that. Keep coming back to it. Ten, ten, ten, dance to it if you have to. Don’t go back and count the one again. You already observed it. It doesn’t need more of your attention.

1. They don’t respond to everything immediately. A text, a conflict, an email. It just sits there. Their first reaction is almost never their clearest one and they’ve stopped pretending it is.

2. They have one “no” they won’t bend on. I don’t mean they’re generally boundaried people. I mean there’s one specific thing and it is not up for discussion. That saves them from having to figure out where the line is every single time.

3. They name the anxiety out loud. “I’m spiraling.” Just hearing yourself say it puts a little space between you and the feeling. Enough space to stop becoming it.

4. They don’t pre-live hard conversations. No script, no imagined worst case. They show up and deal with what actually happens. This one is brutal for me personally.

5. Their mornings are theirs. No news, no group chat chaos, no notifications. Not until they’re ready.

6. They move slowly on purpose somewhere in their day. Eating. Walking. Getting ready. Not because they have the time. Because that’s how they stay in their body.

7. They know what actually calms them down and it’s not wine. It’s a specific thing. A walk. Cold water on the face. A playlist they’ve had for three years. They figured it out through trial and error, not from an infographic.

8. Sadness is allowed to just be sadness. They don’t treat every uncomfortable feeling like something broke. Some discomfort needs attention. Most of it just needs to pass.

9. They protect their sleep like it’s money. Hour before bed is theirs. No heavy conversations, no doomscrolling, no starting a show they can’t stop.

I think one of the hardest things to accept is that life reflects us back to ourselves.

Not in a vague, pretty quote kind of way. I mean in the deeply annoying kind of way. The kind of way that makes you realize that maybe the pattern isn’t just happening around you. Maybe it is also happening through you.

Because a lot of us are trying to change our lives by working on the outside first.

We change the plan. We change the routine. We change the goal. We change the look. We change the city. We change the crush. We change the habit.

And then we sit there confused because somehow the deeper thing is still the same. The same ceiling in a different room. The same disappointment, just with better branding. That’s what I mean when I say reality is a mirror.

Your inner world is the real thing. Your outer life is the reflection.

And most people spend their lives arguing with the reflection. They stare at what’s in front of them, trying to force it to change, without ever asking what kind of self is standing in front of the glass.

If you want a different life, you can’t only work on the visible you. You have to work on what’s true.

What do you actually believe about yourself when nobody’s clapping? What feels normal for you? What kind of love feels believable? What level of peace do you think you get to have? Because those private beliefs never stay private for long. They leak into your choices, your standards, your timing, your tolerance. They shape what you reach for and what you talk yourself out of.

Unfortunately life will always tell on you, you want to know what you deeply believe, look at what keeps repeating. Look at what you keep accepting. There’s always information in the patterns you run.

One caveat though, life doesn’t always change the second you do. There’s usually a delay. You decide to think differently, but the evidence hasn’t caught up yet. You decide to believe for more, but your circumstances still look the same as they’ve always looked. And if you’re not careful, that delay will pull you right back into the old story. You’ll look at the silence and think God’s forgotten you. You’ll look at the closed door and think it’s the final answer. You’ll let the reflection tell you who you are.

That’s why detachment matters so much. And I don’t mean fake cool-girl detachment. Not the “I never cared anyway” performance. I mean real detachment.

So what do you actually do?

You stop making how you feel depend on one outcome. Like who cares Connie baby? You stop treating one person, one opportunity, one open door like it’s your only shot at Everything You’ve Ever Wanted.

Always remember: if this isn’t it, it’s still coming.

And that belief changes everything about the way you hold yourself. You stop begging. You stop chasing. You get willing to walk away. Willing to just relax.

Reality is a mirror. It isn’t there to torment you. It’s there to reveal you, to show you you. Once you understand that, the work gets clearer.

Stop fighting the glass. Change what’s standing in front of it.

I used to think joy was just a feeling,

and then I went on a walk.

It was early morning, which I’ve been doing these days because it’s been so hot. I call this kind of weather a kiss from summer, like a little pre-kiss, an excited text before a date from our favorite time of year.

Anyway, I was walking and listening to this amazing song. I’ve always been like this with music. I see pictures and colors when I hear it. It’s the same way I think about art. I see it in my mind before it ever becomes real through my hands. That’s how I always know what I’m making.

So the song is playing, and I’m seeing all these things, and then I get this overwhelming joy that was obviously the Holy Spirit. It kept getting stronger, like through my belly and through my heart. I’m pretty sure anyone who walked past me could feel that something was going on.

Then in my mind, I saw a wildfire. That’s the simplest way to say it. But really, I saw three beings with two wings each. Their wings weren’t like bird wings. They were flames. Intense flames. And they just kept growing.

Joy is a wildfire. It burns through everything in its path. And it spreads.

I don’t know, but from that point on, literally this morning lol, I started taking my joy very seriously. And I say that as a girl who already thought she took her joy seriously. But I used to think it belonged to me. Now I don’t think that.

Fire doesn’t belong to you. You can only work with the elements and make the kind of space where it can live. But you can’t control it once it gets big.

Light your joy and let it burn. Honestly, don’t stop.

Whatever you turn your heart toward you move towards, you’ll always go in the direction of your thinking, decide to not dwell on anything outside of yourself because it is subject to change.

Focus on your heart and everything will flow in the direction of your intention. smooth right? you caught me at the right time.

You Get to Choose What You Believe and what you experience as a result

I cut all alcohol after a week in the middle of the Spanish sea because I kind of just felt like it.

So I did.

Everything is based on kind of just feeling like it and doing it. When I was 16, I went vegan overnight for 7 years because I saw a vegan cupcake stand at the farmers market and looked at my mom like, huh, how come vegan people get to have this exclusive little life outside of everyone else? I wanna be one. I also don’t like cutting meat, it grosses me out, this won’t be bad, this’ll be fun, I thought. Definitely good for attention.

One documentary and some alternative substitute suggestions later, and I was a vegan.

It is very easy to change your mind when you want to change your mind.

Think about the last time you made plans, and then just changed your mind about an aspect of them.

The tension arises when you don’t want to change your mind, or when who you’ve practiced being has, or seemingly has, more power over you than you’d ever let yourself admit.

The good news is, you can kind of just decide it doesn’t have any power over you and choose differently. Jesus said I set before you life and death, choose life, that you might live. You can always choose.

So whether it’s your lunch, or what city you’ll move to, or that goal that’s been pestering you, or rather looming over your head since January, remember: you are one decision away from life being ridiculously easy.

Jesus taught us best.

Then I was reading this book, or listening to the audiobook, which I actually think is amazing y’all should cop. It’s called The Magic of Thinking Big, and the author talks a lot about self-respect.

Others see in us what we see in ourselves. We receive the kind of treatment we think we deserve. Thinking does make it so. The girl who thinks she’s [inferior], regardless of what her qualifications may be, is inferior,

because thinking regulates actions.

If you feel inferior, you act that way,

and no veneer or cover-up will hide that feeling for long.

So today, see yourself how you want to be seen.

Think about yourself the way you want to be thought about. Don’t get weird with it or start prioritizing other people’s perception of you or anything, but you are the sun, remember.

What people usually leave out of this conversation, though, is how uncomfortable that movement feels at first. I always think about how lobsters grow. They literally have to shed their shell when it gets too tight, leaving them completely exposed and vulnerable on the ocean floor while the new shell hardens.

Growth in our own lives feels a lot like that.

The exact moment your life starts to expand is usually the moment you feel the most unsure of yourself.

Walking into a room where you don’t know a single soul, or launching a project you aren’t totally qualified for, feels awkward and exposing. But that vulnerability is the price of admission for new possibilities.

If you’re feeling stuck, waiting for a lucky break is a terrible strategy. You have to move. Go somewhere you don’t usually go. Talk to someone outside your bubble. It won’t always lead to something amazing, but it cracks the loop open just enough to let something new and beautiful and wonderful inside.

THE NEW CREATION DECLARATION
2 Corinthians 5:17

If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here!

Thank You, Jesus, that I am a new creation in Christ. Thank You that the old is gone, the new is here. I put on my new identity in Christ in the name of Jesus.

I make my body, my flesh, and my soul subject to who I am in the Spirit. I make it subject to who I am in my new nature.

The light of life lives inside of me.
The light of life lives inside of my atoms at a molecular level.
The Holy Spirit radiates out of me.

In Jesus’ name, I am a new creation.

I put off the old identity.
I put off the old self in which I’ve been programmed to believe that I am all my life.
I put it off and I put on the new self.
I put on the righteousness of God.

All memories, all traumas, and all sin cycles stop when I declare that I’m a new creation.
All sin cycles stop when I put on my new identity.
All sin cycles stop when I put on the robes of righteousness.
All sin cycles stop when I put on the helmet of salvation and the crown in which I rule from because I am seated in heavenly places.

I walk in power and authority in the name of Jesus.
I walk as a new creature.
It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.
In the Spirit, I am seated in heavenly places right now.

I am a co-heir in Christ. Everything in the Father’s house I have access to.

I have access to healing, and I declare healing over my body.
I have access to provision and finances, so I declare finances and provision to do the will of the Father.
I have access to health and wholeness in my body, so I declare health and wholeness over my entire being.
I have access to divine knowledge, so I declare divine knowledge over my mind — knowledge over people’s situations, supernatural insight as to strongholds that are trying to come over my life and trying to create confusion.

I have that divine insight, intel, and discernment that comes from Holy Spirit because I am seated in heavenly places.

I am a royal priesthood.
That means I have authority in the name of Jesus. I’m not just saved, but I have authoritative divine power in the realm of the Spirit to make things on earth as it is in heaven.

Even though my default programming has been to rely on my emotions, my circumstances, how I feel, my lack, my health, anxiety, demonic attacks, people leaving, and opportunities not working, I no longer identify with those things because I am a royal priesthood, a co-heir with Christ, and a new creation.

Therefore, my life on earth looks drastically different than it used to look.

In the name of Jesus, I put off my mind and I put on the mind of Christ.
We have the mind of Christ.

I declare right now that I no longer struggle to hear from God, because the mind of Christ does not struggle to hear from the Lord.

I do not struggle with prophetic knowledge, because the mind of Christ does not struggle with prophetic knowledge.

So I put off my carnal mind, I separate it from my body, and I put on the righteous, glorious, pure mind of Christ.

When the Father looks at me, He sees purity.
When the Father looks at me, He sees His Son.

So right now, in the name of Jesus, I put on the mind of Christ.

I declare I can hear Holy Spirit.
I can hear the voice of the Father.
I can hear the voice of Jesus.
I can understand their personalities.
I can understand their unique identities.

Because it’s no longer my thoughts that are popping up, it is God’s thoughts and God’s voice that is speaking into my mind, not my own thoughts.

I am a new creation, and I declare that I will walk in that power and authority today.

We take dominion and power over every principality suffocating our minds and our hearts, tormenting us with memory of past sin, past trauma, and past cycles.

We take hold of that in the Spirit and submit it to the feet of Jesus and declare freedom and deliverance in Jesus’ name.

I tear down any carnal intellectual arguments about who we are in Christ in the Spirit.
I tear down the structures of intellectualism by walking in power and authority.

And though life is uncertain, I walk in a certainty that Jesus died and rose again, and His blood is completely washing over my being every minute of today.

I submit my emotions, how I feel, the cloud of doubt, and the fog of fear at the feet of Jesus, and I choose right now to no longer live from that paradigm.

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I command my body and my soul to awaken to my new nature and to walk in that power and authority for the rest of the day.
